Counselor

Welcome!

I am a proud Houston native and graduate of the Houston Independent School District. I bring a wealth of experience and passion to the field of education. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Houston and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University.

I began my career in 2013 as a 6th–8th grade ELAR teacher at Lamar Fleming Middle School, where I demonstrated leadership and versatility in roles such as Master Scheduler, Testing Coordinator, AVID Coordinator, and Counselor.

Driven by a passion for student development, I transitioned to the role of Teacher Specialist of ELAR at Ross Shaw Sterling High School in 2018 before fully stepping into the Counselor position. Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of empowering students at Wheatley High School and Westfield High School, where I strive to foster critical thinking, lifelong learning, and responsible citizenship.
